Last Day of Summer Vacation

Day camps, whole afternoons of free time, playing with friends, family vacation, swimming lessons, running through the sprinkler, popsicles from the ice cream truck, the Farmer's Market, Vacation Bible School, new neighbors, getting taller, an awesome new back yard playhouse, so many adventures, and so much fun...

 It's been quite a summer

The J-bird goes back to school tomorrow morning. I will love having the one-on-one time with Miss V again, and she and I will both miss having the J-bird around all day. Miss V and I will be doing pre-school lessons at home, and she's super excited.

This is always a really bittersweet time of year. Nothing marks the inexorable passage of time quite so distinctly as the start of a new school year. All those fresh school supplies. All that excitement and expectation in the air. But something sweet is over, too. Time marches on. My boy is a second grader. My girl is a pre-schooler. Blink. Blink again. Here we go.
