Easter 2015

It's Springtime for sure around here. The weather is up and down, but mostly up. Everything is blooming, and Easter came and went yesterday. We had a lovely family day of church, the Easter story told several ways (including once with graham crackers and a marshmallow. I was trying to be creative), and, yes, the Easter bunny.
In our house, the baskets are from me, but the Bunny leaves a scavenger hunt for the kids. There are eggs that contain clues that lead to one big egg full of candy per kid at the end. They really love it.

This is what happens when your children are squirrels and don't WANT to take another photo in their nice clothes before church, because we ALREADY TOOK the good photo a couple of WEEKS ago, MOM.

Church was great.

We took regular communion, and then we did this beautiful thing our church does every year on Easter, called Flower Communion, where we fill a cross with flowers. It's neat.

And the service ended with a rousing rendition of the Hallelujah Chorus!

After the service, we had an Easter egg hunt, which was, as usual, five minutes of hysterical, hilarious fun.

And then, the four of us went home for lunch and a very big nap. At least...I took a nap. I don't know what everyone else did, because I passed out real hard. It was the best.

Happy Easter!
